He did kill one last week. Here he is with the jellyhead. Dave has been telling Houston that a dead turkey is called a jellyhead. Now jellyhead is one of Houbaby's favorite words.
I have finally found the time for some hobbies of my own. I am happy to say that graduate school is winding down. I will take my finals next week, and then I will have the entire month of May off. This summer I will do my second internship at the high school, and since I PASSED both the PRAXIS Test and COMPS, I will graduate on July 23!! My newest addiction is sewing. I love my new machine, and can't wait to have more free time to practice on it. Over spring break, Shelli got me into appliqueing, and mother gave me some sewing lessons. Here are a few of the things I've done so far.

I bought this dress at Wal-Mart and appliqued it for Blakeley.
I also appliqued a "Reese" onesie for Avery.
It's going to be a stormy weekend with a possibility of severe weather. I can't wait to stay home all day and sew. Maybe my turkey hunter will be here in the dry, safe house too! 
Mandi, so glad you have taken on sewing as a hobby. Its something you can ALWAYS do. I love it, when I find time. You ought to come check out my ten bazillion boxes of fabric sometime and we could applique together. Have a fun Saturday!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I keep saying that I am going to learn...I even have a sewing machine! It's still in the box and has NEVER been used! I just do NOT have the time to learn! Anyway, I love the cute outfits! And yes, you should go check out Kristen's bazillion boxes of fabric. You could sew for months from just her stash! Hope you enjoy your rainy Saturday!
