Getting Excited

My sweet fiance' is so good to buy me magazines. He will usually get a copy of my all time favorite, People . (He likes to read it too!) A couple of weeks ago he bought me an Alabama Weddings magazine. I love this one!!! It has really cute ideas and ads. While thumbing through it one night before bed, I came across an advertisement for a bridal boutique in Troy called Seraphim. The dresses in their ad were darling. I told myself I would have to make a special trip there in the future, but didn't think about it again until this afternoon. I had graduate school tonight, and had some time to kill before class. I decided to drive around Troy to see what was new. So much has changed since I graduated in 2003. As I was driving down South Brundidge Street, a cute little house caught my eye. Low and behold, it was Seraphim Bridal Boutique!! I whipped the Honda in the parking lot, and excitedly tried to call Britton to meet me there. Unfortunately she didn't answer, so I ventured in all by myself. The owner and her daughters were soooo sweet and helpful. They carry a line of bridesmaids dresses by DeRie. These dresses are made in Winfield, Alabama. I don't know about you, but I absolutely fell in love with them!! They also make flower girl dresses and ring bearer outfits. Check out the web-sites and the pictures I posted below. They're a little pricey, but perfect for a casual, fall wedding!

On another note.....remember that favor I mentioned in an earlier blog. Well, to those of you that are locals, I am hostessing a Taste of Home Entertaining party next Tuesday night. I am trying to get up enough of the beverage servers (pictured above) to use for the wedding. So far my mother has one, Sabrina has one, and my friend Lisa has one. If I have at least $750 in sales at my party, I get to purchase one for $25. They cost $99 in the catalog. This company has some really great items, and not all of them are that expensive!! If you like to entertain, you should definitely come by and check out the products.
Date: Tuesday, June 3rd
Time: 6:00 PM
Place: My parents home
Hope you can all come!!!

60th Anniversary Party

On Saturday night we celebrated Dedaddy and Memama's 60th wedding anniversary with the entire Wiggins family. We had a wonderful time together and enjoyed a delicious steak dinner followed by a slide show.
I think that being married for 60 years is such an awesome accomplishment. What a wonderful example these two people are to their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We are so blessed to have them to look up to.
We love you Dedaddy and Memama and we're all looking forward to the 70th anniversary party!

It's not easy to get a perfect picture of 32 family members, but
aside from Dave's head covering a portion of Sabrina's face it's the best we could do.

Weekend Fun with the Wiggins Family

On Saturday the entire Wiggins clan got together to celebrate Jenny's 7th birthday. Later that evening we had a 60th anniversary dinner for Dedaddy and Memama (pictures coming soon!). I should also mention that Jamey and Shonna celebrated their 5th anniversary on Saturday as well. What a blessing it is for me to be marrying in to such a big, wonderful, christian family!!!!

What a cute cake!

They're Growin' Up!!

I found some pictures of the twins from when they were brand new. I can't believe they've been a part of our family for 32 months now. I also can't believe that it's been that long since we lost Uncle Roger. What a wonderful "Baw Baw" he was going to be!!

We couldn't imagine life without these little guys. They bring us sooooo much joy. Thank you God for blessing us with Dylon, Houston, and Laeton!!
